The successful candidate will be involved in two current projects aimed at disseminating knowledge about crisis preparedness to the refugee target group and organizing professional networking meetings for practitioners in the municipalities of the country. The role requires a proactive approach to assist in the production of five films related to crisis preparedness, which includes rewriting storyboards, booking interpreters and participants, and handling practical tasks during filming. Additionally, the Student Assistant will manage administrative tasks related to the organization of municipal networking meetings and courses, including booking venues, developing and sending out programs, and following up with participants. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that support refugees and ethnic minorities while gaining valuable experience in project management and community engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Student Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
Assisting in the production of five films on crisis preparedness, which involves rewriting storyboards, coordinating with interpreters and participants, and managing practical aspects of filming.
Handling administrative tasks related to the organization of municipal networking meetings, such as booking venues, developing and distributing meeting programs, and sending follow-up emails to participants.
Supporting the organization of courses by managing logistics, including booking venues and instructors.
Collaborating with team members to ensure the smooth execution of projects and meetings.
Engaging with stakeholders and participants to gather feedback and improve future initiatives.
Maintaining organized records of project activities and communications.
Contributing to the overall goals of the DRC Integration team by participating in team meetings and discussions.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Student Assistant position should possess the following qualifications:
Enrollment in a relevant higher education program, preferably at the master's level, with a focus on social sciences, international relations, or a related field.
Familiarity with the target group of refugees and immigrants in Denmark is highly desirable.
Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work independently and flexibly manage one's work schedule.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to tasks.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
Educational Background: Candidates should be pursuing a relevant higher education degree, ideally in fields such as social sciences, international relations, or similar disciplines. The educational background should provide a solid foundation for understanding the challenges faced by refugees and ethnic minorities, as well as the skills necessary for effective project management and community engagement.
Experience: While specific prior experience is not mandatory, any relevant experience in project management, community work, or engagement with refugee populations will be considered an asset. Languages: The primary working language for this position is Danish, and proficiency in Danish is mandatory.
