Job Posting Organization: The Programa de Cooperación AMEXCID-PNUD (PROCAP) was established in 2013 and is linked to the Mexican International Cooperation for Development System. Its mission is to support the efforts of AMEXCID in transitioning towards an effective model that reflects the characteristics of a dual donor and recipient of cooperation, in accordance with its own priorities and vision within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The program aims to strengthen international cooperation as a tool for achieving development priorities outlined in the National Development Plan 2019-2024, particularly focusing on the principles of Mexico's foreign policy. The program operates under the guidance of six action axes of AMEXCID, including sports diplomacy, citizen diplomacy, scientific and technological diplomacy, economic business diplomacy, educational diplomacy, and humanitarian diplomacy. The program's overall objective is to consolidate AMEXCID's institutional capacity to strengthen South-South Cooperation in Mexico through four key results: developing institutional capacities for managing international cooperation, strengthening Mexico's international cooperation policy, promoting strategic alliances for development, and supporting the implementation of the Comprehensive Development Plan.
Job Overview: The Program Coordinator will provide support in the administration and monitoring of international cooperation programs, ensuring their proper execution. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting to the relevant General Directorate on progress, risks, expenditure execution, and beneficiary registry of the programs. The coordinator will assist in the implementation of missions and events as required, collaborate in the follow-up of programs, projects, and strategic cooperation actions, and support Mexican institutions in their integration. Additionally, the coordinator will aid in updating and validating data in the AMEXCID information system. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Program Coordinator include:
Providing administrative support and monitoring for international cooperation programs to ensure their effective execution.
Collecting and analyzing data related to program progress, risks, and expenditures, and reporting findings to the relevant General Directorate.
Assisting in the organization and implementation of missions and events as necessary.
Collaborating with Mexican institutions to facilitate the integration of programs, projects, and strategic actions.
Supporting the updating and validation of data within the AMEXCID information system.
Ensuring compliance with administrative and financial processes within the public sector.
Prioritizing activities and meeting established deadlines while providing timely follow-up on administrative and financial processes.
Communicating clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, maintaining accuracy and quality in administrative information and reports.
Required Qualifications: The minimum academic requirements for this position include a high school diploma or a bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Accounting, or related fields. Candidates with a high school diploma must have at least four years of relevant experience in managing initiatives and/or projects, while those with a bachelor's degree must have at least one year of relevant experience. Required skills include proficiency in PC usage and Microsoft Office, experience in administrative and financial processes within the public sector, and the ability to provide administrative support to multidisciplinary teams. Candidates should also demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and effective communication skills.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or a bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Political Science, Public Administration, or Accounting. The educational background should align with the responsibilities of managing international cooperation programs and supporting administrative processes.
Experience: The level of experience required varies based on educational qualifications. Candidates with a high school diploma are expected to have a minimum of four years of relevant experience in administration of initiatives and/or projects. In contrast, candidates with a bachelor's degree should have at least one year of relevant experience in similar roles.
Languages: Proficiency in Spanish is mandatory for this position, given the context of the work in Mexico. Knowledge of English or other languages may be considered an asset but is not explicitly required.
