Job Overview:
The Telemarketing Fundraising Support position is part of the Individual Fundraising (IFR) unit at UNICEF, under the supervision of the Fundraising Officer. The role involves supporting Telemarketing Fundraising (TM) activities, which includes coordinating the daily operations of call centers, assisting in planning TM-related activities, and ensuring effective communication and follow-up with various agencies and internal departments. The incumbent will also be responsible for preparing training materials, optimizing training schemes, and conducting training sessions as needed. This position requires a proactive approach to managing communications and administrative tasks, ensuring that all TM activities are executed efficiently and effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Telemarketing Fundraising Support position include:
  • Communications Support: Coordinate the daily work of two call centers, assist in supervising the effectiveness of daily execution, and monitor results. Participate in planning TM-related activities and manage communication with different agencies and internal departments. Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions as required.
  • Administrative Support: Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), review and update FAQs, assist in applying for login accounts for agency staff, manage agency login accounts, and ensure compliance with security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security guidelines. Monitor attendance of cooperating agencies and assist in executing payments. Handle travel and contract payments as needed.
  • Operations Support: Participate in the full lifecycle of electronic Direct Mail (eDM) production, manage eDM and SMS campaigns related to telemarketing activities, and conduct follow-up analysis to measure effectiveness. Communicate with inbound and outbound agencies to coordinate activities and assist in ordering incentive gifts for TM activities. Collect and monitor reports from agencies, check their correctness, and assist in optimizing reports as required. Supervise the implementation of projects during system development and customization work in collaboration with ICT colleagues and agency personnel.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Telemarketing Fundraising Support position include:
  • Education: Completed secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, or a relevant technical field. A bachelor's degree may replace three years of related work experience, while a master's degree may replace an additional two years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant telemarketing or business administrative work experience is required, along with knowledge of the country context.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other UNICEF software, such as SharePoint. Strong organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills are essential, along with the ability to deal patiently and tactfully with TM agencies. A high sense of confidentiality, initiative, and good judgment is required, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and independently.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed secondary education in fields such as Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, or another relevant technical field. A bachelor's degree from a recognized institution in a relevant field may substitute for three years of related work experience, while a master's degree may substitute for an additional two years of experience.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant telemarketing or business administrative work experience. Candidates should also have experience and knowledge of the country context, which is crucial for understanding the local environment and effectively executing fundraising activities.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Chinese is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another UN language is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate in a diverse work environment.
