Job Overview:
The Cash and Markets Coordinator position is a pivotal role within NRC's operations in North Darfur, specifically aimed at enhancing the organization's Cash and Markets (C&M) programming. This role is designed for a dynamic individual who will be responsible for the development and implementation of emergency cash-based interventions, including cash and voucher assistance, to support displaced and vulnerable populations. The coordinator will oversee all stages of Cash and Markets activities, ensuring effective cash and voucher distributions and other market-based interventions. The position also involves monitoring Cash Group Transfers (CGTs), managing partnerships, supervising staff, and executing additional tasks as directed by the NRC line manager. The Cash and Markets Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring that NRC's interventions are effective, efficient, and aligned with the organization's standards and donor requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Cash and Markets Coordinator will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including ensuring compliance with NRC and donor project methodologies, tools, handbooks, guidelines, and standards relevant to Cash and Markets programming. The coordinator will supervise and implement Cash and Markets activities in targeted areas of North Darfur, ensuring adequate project planning, operational assessments, beneficiary targeting, and cash or voucher distributions. Responsibilities also include tracking financial expenditures related to Cash and Markets activities, ensuring quality control and monitoring of project activities, managing partnerships, providing analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">technical analysis, and supporting capacity building for project staff. The coordinator will be responsible for documenting project activities, managing stakeholder relationships, and contributing to donor reporting and proposal development. Additionally, the role requires the documentation of lessons learned and success stories, as well as maintaining accurate records of project deliveries.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Cash and Markets Coordinator position must possess a minimum of four years of relevant experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least three years of progressive experience in managing Cash and Markets or Cash and Voucher Assistance programming. Strong technical expertise in cash transfers, vouchers, market assessments, and compliance with cash-based assistance standards is essential. The candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to deliver results in complex and volatile environments, with experience in designing and implementing cash-based interventions. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required, along with the ability to engage effectively with beneficiaries, partners, and donors.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Economics, Engineering, or other relevant fields is required for this position. Knowledge of the Sudan humanitarian context, particularly regarding displacement dynamics and the economic environment in North Darfur, is highly desirable. Candidates should also have high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to effectively manage project data and reporting.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of four years of relevant experience in the humanitarian sector, with a focus on Cash and Markets programming. This includes at least three years of progressive experience in managing cash-based interventions and market assessments. Experience working in complex and emergency contexts is crucial, as is the ability to adapt cash-based and market interventions to meet the needs of vulnerable populations in insecure environments.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and Arabic, both written and verbal, is mandatory for this position. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with beneficiaries, partners, and coordination forums effectively. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.
