Job Overview:
The Quality engineer" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Management Engineer plays a crucial role within the Division of Technical and Scientific Services at the IAEA. This position involves providing expert guidance on best practices for equipment management and ensuring that divisional processes are documented, monitored, and compliant with both customer expectations and the Departmental Quality Management System (QMS). The engineer will coordinate the validation and authorization processes for inspection equipment, ensuring that it meets the required design features and is suitable for use in safeguards verification activities. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, quality management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Division's services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Quality Management Engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: performing duties assigned to Divisional Quality Managers within the SG Quality Management System (QMS); ensuring ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement of divisional processes and documentation; guiding document and process owners on preparation and control; editing documents for consistency and clarity; establishing systematic document reviews; providing subject matter guidance on quality assurance for specific equipment; defining and implementing suppliers’ quality requirements; coordinating inspection equipment validation processes; monitoring compliance with customer expectations; establishing and maintaining key performance indicators; planning and coordinating divisional QMS activities; and implementing content changes on the SGTS Portal.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or a communication-related area. A minimum of five years of relevant working experience in quality management, document and records management, or related fields in a highly technical environment is required. Qualification certificates in quality management systems and internal quality auditing are considered an asset. Proficiency in administrative support tools such as MS Office and familiarity with enterprise-level content management systems are also necessary.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree preferably in a technical field or a communication-related area. This foundational education is essential for understanding the complex technical requirements and processes involved in quality management within the IAEA's operational framework.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant working experience in areas such as quality management, document management, and technical support in a highly technical environment. Experience in operating a Quality Management System in a testing laboratory environment is particularly valuable, as is familiarity with quality assurance practices and protocols.

Languages:
Excellent oral and written command of English is mandatory. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages, including Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish, is considered an asset and may enhance a candidate's suitability for the role.

The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package, including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $70,212, along with a variable post adjustment, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, and relocation expenses.
