Job Overview:
The Logistics Technical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Logistics Coordinator in the implementation of the project portfolio. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Technical Assistant will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: assisting in the procurement process to ensure compliance with NRC policies and procedures; supporting fleet management by ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness of transport resources; managing store operations by handling goods receipts, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring proper storage conditions; conducting regular stock reconciliations and reporting on stock balances; and collaborating with the Logistics Officer to address any issues related to stock management. The assistant will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in storage areas and reporting any discrepancies or problems immediately. Additionally, the role involves conducting inventory checks and ensuring that all logistics activities are documented accurately and timely.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a related field. A minimum of 1-2 years of work experience as a Logistic Assistant or in a similar role is required. Basic experience in a humanitarian or recovery context is essential, along with documented results related to the responsibilities of the position. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work effectively in complex and volatile environments and possess strong organizational skills. Proficiency in both oral and written English and Amharic is mandatory, with knowledge of additional local languages being an advantage. The ideal candidate will also have strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Windows and Office applications, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
