Job Overview:
The position of National Consultant to Provide Data Evaluation and Communication Support is crucial for the UNCDF Office in Ghana. The consultant will be responsible for delivering comprehensive data evaluation and communication support services. This role involves analyzing data related to development projects, assessing the effectiveness of various initiatives, and communicating findings to stakeholders. The consultant will work closely with UNDP teams to ensure that data-driven insights are effectively utilized in decision-making processes. The assignment is expected to span 50 working days over a period of 9 months, allowing for flexibility in the consultant's schedule while ensuring that project timelines are met. The consultant will also be expected to engage with local partners and stakeholders to gather relevant data and feedback, thereby enhancing the overall impact of the projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the National Consultant include but are not limited to: conducting thorough evaluations of data collected from various projects, analyzing trends and patterns to inform project strategies, preparing detailed reports and presentations that summarize findings, collaborating with project teams to identify data needs and gaps, providing recommendations based on data analysis to improve project outcomes, facilitating workshops and meetings with stakeholders to discuss evaluation results, ensuring that communication materials are clear, concise, and tailored to the audience, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive data.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in data analysis, evaluation methodologies, and communication strategies. A proven track record of working with international organizations, particularly in the context of development projects, is essential. The consultant should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, proficiency in data visualization tools, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences. Familiarity with UNDP's operational frameworks and principles will be an advantage.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, statistics, international development, or communications is required. A master's degree in a related discipline is preferred and may be considered an asset for candidates.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of professional experience in data evaluation and communication support, particularly within the context of development projects. Experience working with UN agencies or similar organizations is highly desirable. The candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Ghana would be considered an asset, as it may facilitate better communication with local stakeholders and enhance the effectiveness of the consultant's work.

Additional Notes:
This position is classified as an individual contractor role, and the contract duration is for 50 working days over a span of 9 months. The consultant is expected to work flexibly, aligning their schedule with project needs. The role is open to both national and international candidates, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
