UNDP operates in approximately 170 countries and territories, working with governments and people to address development challenges. The organization emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, valuing the multiplicity of nations and cultures in which it operates. UNDP is committed to ensuring that all personnel are empowered to contribute to its mission, and it actively encourages applications from individuals belonging to marginalized or excluded populations. The Women’s Forum for Development (WF4D) was established in 2021 by UNDP and the Agency for Gender Equality of Bosnia and Herzegovina, aiming to foster intergenerational dialogue and strategic cooperation towards a more gender-conscious society.

Job Overview:
The intern will play a crucial role in supporting the Women’s Forum for Development (WF4D) platform, which is part of the Gender Equality Accelerator Joint Programme. This position focuses on the development, maintenance, and promotion of the platform’s online presence. The intern will be responsible for knowledge-sharing, content management, and visibility efforts, ensuring that the platform serves as an active hub for gender equality dialogue in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The intern will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, contributing to various tasks that enhance the platform's outreach and effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's duties will include assisting in content management for the WF4D web platform, which involves drafting, editing, and uploading articles, news, and event announcements. The intern will support the preparation and dissemination of communication materials, such as posts, visuals, and short updates, to enhance the visibility of WF4D and its activities. Conducting desk research on gender equality, women’s leadership, and related themes will be essential to inform platform content. The intern will also assist in organizing and documenting WF4D events, consultations, and webinars, ensuring that outputs are shared online. Monitoring online engagement and proposing ideas to improve the outreach and usability of the platform will be part of the responsibilities. Additionally, the intern will provide administrative and logistical support to the WF4D team as required and contribute to reporting and knowledge-sharing by drafting summaries, success stories, or highlights of WF4D activities for both internal and external use.

Enrollment in a postgraduate professional traineeship program is also acceptable, as long as the internship is part of this program.

Experience:
The position is designed for individuals who may not have extensive professional experience but are eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong interest in gender equality, social inclusion, and women’s empowerment, as well as a commitment to the ideals of the UN and UNDP. Familiarity with digital content management systems and online communication tools is beneficial, but not mandatory.
