Job Overview: The Reporting Associate position is crucial for the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of activities aimed at improving the quality and effectiveness of voluntary return procedures and enhancing Türkiye’s International and Temporary Protection processes. The role involves working on two EU-funded projects focused on strengthening voluntary return processes and providing operational support to the Turkish authorities. The Reporting Associate will be part of the Protection Response and Policy Development Unit, reporting to the Assistant Legal Officer and under the supervision of the Senior Protection Officer. The position requires staying updated on operational developments, assisting in data analysis, and preparing various reports related to voluntary return and protection activities. The Reporting Associate will also liaise with internal and external partners to ensure accurate data collection and presentation, contributing to funding submissions and donor reports, and supporting compliance with reporting requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Reporting Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: staying informed about operational and protection-related developments; assisting in the preparation of briefing notes, situation reports, and analytical updates; consolidating and verifying data for periodic reports; liaising with internal units and external partners for data collection; ensuring standardized data presentation across reporting products; assisting in the development of funding submissions and narrative reports; preparing and distributing meeting minutes for coordination and donor meetings; consolidating inputs for donor reports; and supporting compliance with reporting requirements and calendars. The incumbent will also perform any other related duties as required in support of the Voluntary Return and Protection Project implementation.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in political science or a related field. For those with a High School Diploma, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required, while candidates with a Bachelor's degree or higher must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience. The position requires strong accountability, communication, organizational awareness, teamwork, and collaboration skills. A commitment to continuous learning, client orientation, analytical thinking, planning, and technological awareness are also essential. Knowledge of other UN languages and principles of International Protection is desirable, along with familiarity with UNHCR financial rules and procedures.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in political science or a related field. Candidates with a High School Diploma must have additional relevant experience to qualify.
