Job Overview:
The National Project Coordinator - Financial Inclusion will play a crucial role in supporting the ILO's expanding interventions under the PROSPECTS initiative, which focuses on enterprise development and financial inclusion for forcibly displaced persons and host communities. This position involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including UN agencies, NGOs, and financial institutions, to ensure the effective implementation of project activities. The coordinator will be responsible for delivering tailored services for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and youth, facilitating timely disbursement of loans, and monitoring project progress. The role requires a strong understanding of the financial sector and local economic development, as well as the ability to engage with diverse partners to achieve project objectives. The incumbent will be based in Beirut, Lebanon, and will report to the Technical Specialist - Financial Inclusion and Enterprise Development, receiving guidance from the DWT Beirut Enterprise Specialist.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The National Project Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including: coordinating with partner UN agencies such as UNICEF and UNHCR, as well as I/NGOs, microfinance institutions (MFIs), and business development service (BDS) providers to inform project annual work plans and activities; following up with relevant line ministries and implementing partners to expedite project implementation and meet targets; providing programmatic and administrative support to the financial inclusion and entrepreneurship components; monitoring project activities by reviewing and analyzing work plans and reports; participating in the preparation and conduct of seminars, workshops, and training sessions; undertaking missions to project sites; drafting and editing official correspondence and reports; leading the preparation of briefs and technical reports; conducting field visits to monitor project implementation; and performing other duties as assigned by the project manager or financial inclusion specialist.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a first-level university degree in economics, finance, business administration, development studies, or a relevant field. Additionally, they should have at least one year of professional experience at the national level within the financial sector in Lebanon. Proven experience working effectively with government bodies, private financial sector players, and international organizations is highly desirable. Candidates should also have a good knowledge of the development field, particularly in financial sector terminology and concepts, local economic development, livelihoods support, and financial inclusion.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is a first-level university degree in a relevant field such as economics, finance, business administration, or development studies. This educational background is essential to understand the complexities of financial inclusion and enterprise development within the context of the ILO's mission and the specific needs of the target populations.

Experience:
The position requires at least one year of professional experience in the financial sector at the national level. Candidates should demonstrate effective collaboration with government bodies, private financial institutions, and international organizations. Experience in project management and implementation, particularly in the context of financial inclusion and entrepreneurship, will be considered an asset.

Languages:
Candidates must have an excellent command of Arabic (both written and spoken) and a very good command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication with stakeholders and for the preparation of project documentation and reports.
