Job Overview: The Treasury Assistant will play a crucial role in the Treasury Unit, responsible for managing and processing payments to various stakeholders including vendors, staff members, and participants. Duties and Responsibilities: The Treasury Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of duties including: assisting in the processing of payments, reviewing and verifying payment proposals for accuracy, amending payments that have fallen into exception queues, and preparing payments for timely disbursement. The incumbent will take 'PAY' action on verified payments, create payment batches, print checks, prepare bank payment instructions, and handle payment inquiries. Additionally, the Treasury Assistant will open investigation cases with House Banks for non-receipt claims, follow up on bank reconciliation, maintain business partner banking records, and monitor banking platforms such as CitiDirect and CashPro. The role also involves processing payroll and other HCM payments, ensuring that all batching and payment details are accurate and communicated to bank signatories for approval. Other cashier-related tasks may be assigned as needed, making this a dynamic and multifaceted position.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge in accounting, management, or a related field is desirable. A minimum of five years of experience in accounting, finance, administrative services, management, or a related area is required. Familiarity with SAP and the new ERP Umoja system is considered an advantage. The role demands a strong understanding of financial processes and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Educational Background: The educational requirement for this position is a high school diploma or equivalent. While a higher degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is not mandatory, it is highly desirable and may enhance a candidate's application. Additional certifications in finance or accounting could also be beneficial.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, administrative services, or management.
