Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Trainer and Mentor on Project Cycle Management include:
Developing comprehensive training materials tailored to the needs of the participants.
Conducting interactive training sessions and workshops on project cycle management, covering all phases from initiation to closure.
Providing one-on-one mentoring to participants to enhance their practical skills in project management.
Assessing the training needs of participants and adapting training content to meet those needs effectively.
Evaluating the effectiveness of training sessions and making necessary adjustments for future sessions.
Collaborating with UNDP staff and stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Documenting training outcomes and providing feedback to UNDP on participant progress and areas for improvement.
Ensuring that all training activities comply with UNDP policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects in various sectors. They should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to engage effectively with diverse groups of participants. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to capacity building and knowledge transfer, with experience in training or mentoring roles being highly desirable. Familiarity with UNDP's mission and values, as well as an understanding of the specific context of Kosovo, will be advantageous.
Educational Background: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in project management, international development, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline will be considered an asset. Candidates should have formal training in project cycle management methodologies and tools, as well as certifications in project management (such as PMP or PRINCE2) being highly desirable.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional experience in project management, with a focus on training and capacity building. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of development projects, is preferred. Proven experience in delivering training programs and mentoring individuals or teams is essential for this role.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as all training materials and sessions will be conducted in English. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Kosovo will be considered an asset, as it may enhance communication with participants and stakeholders.
