Job Overview:
The position of Photographer at UNICEF involves serving as part of a roster of pre-vetted professionals who will provide high-quality photographic coverage of children and families in Serbia, specifically related to UNICEF programs. The photographer will work under the direct supervision of the Advocacy and Communication Officer and the Senior Digital Communication Associate. The role requires capturing images that ethically and sensitively reflect the realities faced by children and families, ensuring that all necessary consent forms are obtained prior to taking photographs. The photographer will be responsible for delivering a curated set of images that meet UNICEF's technical specifications and align with the organization's brand and safeguarding standards. This position is crucial for documenting the impact of UNICEF's work and communicating the stories of the children and families served by the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The photographer will undertake several key tasks, including:

• Photographing UNICEF and UNICEF-supported activities, ensuring compliance with photo specifications and submission of 5-10 edited photos within one day of assignment completion.
• Producing photographs for human-interest and feature stories, with a requirement to submit 20-30 edited photos within one day of assignment completion.
• Conducting multi-day photographic documentation, delivering 30-40 edited photos within one day of assignment completion.
• Creating a photo essay that includes 5-15 high-quality photographs, complete with descriptive captions and contextual notes, to be submitted within one week of the assignment date.
• Compiling a new photo library for UNICEF Serbia, consisting of a minimum of 500 high-quality photographs covering various themes and topics, with a delivery timeframe of up to four months. Each task requires adherence to UNICEF's guidelines for consent, captions, and metadata, ensuring that all work produced is of the highest quality and aligns with the organization's mission.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess professional photography experience, particularly with sensitivity towards working with children and adolescents. Fluency in both Serbian and English is mandatory, and prior experience working with UNICEF is considered an asset. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of ethical photography practices, especially in contexts involving vulnerable populations.
