Job Overview:
The Human Resources Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the HR functions within the UNODC Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Assistant will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: participating in the recruitment process for administrative positions, evaluating and screening applications, preparing candidate profiles, and conducting preliminary interviews. The incumbent will support the management of recruitment processes for interns, assist in organizing competitive recruitment examinations, and maintain vacancy announcement files. In terms of staff development, the assistant will help organize training courses, monitor training activities, and contribute to the induction process for newcomers. Proficiency in using computers and standard MS Office software is essential, along with experience in handling web-based management systems. Familiarity with data analytics is desirable, as is experience working with the United Nations system or other international organizations. Knowledge of large Enterprise Resource Planning Systems is also a plus.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is a high school diploma or equivalent. However, candidates with a first-level university degree or higher will be given preference, which will also reduce the required years of relevant work experience. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has a foundational understanding of human resources principles and practices.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant work experience in human resources, administration, or related fields. For candidates with a first-level university degree or higher, this requirement is reduced to three years. Experience in using standard MS Office software packages, as well as knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications, is necessary.
