Job Overview:
The Data Analyst position at FHI 360 is crucial for collecting, managing, and analyzing subaward data from both internal and external systems. The role involves developing and driving analyses that support business needs and may include providing consultation to users while leading cross-functional teams to address business issues. The Data Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality of subaward data, analyzing it to identify trends and opportunities, and developing strategic options based on insights derived from the data. This position requires the ability to create compelling presentations and reports that highlight key business implications and recommendations, thereby supporting the organization's performance in managing subaward and subcontracting programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Data Analyst will support activities aimed at developing quality subaward data, analyze this data to identify trends and opportunities, and create strategic options based on synthesized insights. Responsibilities include delivering tactical and strategic data analysis to department leadership, identifying and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data from various sources, and contributing to the improvement of internal systems and processes. The analyst will validate data from multiple sources regularly, assist with project management related to subaward work plans, maintain report forms and dashboards, and perform other duties as assigned. The role requires excellent communication skills to present information effectively to senior executives and to interact with various levels of staff.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a working knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of data analysis. This includes the ability to understand business problems, develop analyses, and communicate recommendations effectively. Strong project management skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are essential. The ability to interact with all levels of staff, especially senior executives, is crucial. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information responsibly and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s Degree or International Equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of data analysis and business operations.

Experience:
Typically, candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, with demonstrated experience in both quantitative and qualitative data research and analysis. Prior experience using business analysis software or familiarity with FFATA reporting is considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's ability to perform effectively in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with the ability to read, write, and speak the language proficiently. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not explicitly required for this position.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in the United States and does not have supervisory responsibilities. The expected salary range for this role is between USD 60,000 and 75,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. FHI 360 offers a competitive benefits package, including a 7% contribution to a pension plan, 18 days of paid vacation, 12 sick days, and 11 holidays per year for full-time employees.
