Job Overview: The National Junior legal data compliance consultant position is designed for individuals who will assist in ensuring that legal data compliance standards are met within the UNDP framework. Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including but not limited to: conducting thorough assessments of existing legal data compliance practices, identifying gaps and areas for improvement, and developing comprehensive reports outlining findings and recommendations. The consultant will also be responsible for collaborating with UNDP staff and external partners to ensure that all legal data practices align with both local and international standards. Additionally, the consultant may be required to participate in training sessions and workshops aimed at enhancing the understanding of legal compliance among UNDP staff. Regular communication with the Procurement Unit and adherence to the guidelines set forth in the UNDP procurement process will also be essential.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in law, particularly in areas related to data protection and compliance. A thorough understanding of both national and international legal frameworks is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly. Proficiency in legal research and the ability to draft legal documents and reports are also required. Educational Background: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in law or a related field is required.
