Job Overview: The Project Manager position at the West Bank Area office is crucial for overseeing the implementation of quality Shelter and WASH programming. The role requires a qualified individual who can manage project staff effectively, ensure compliance with NRC policies, and develop strategies aligned with the organization's objectives. The Project Manager will assess needs, develop emergency response plans, and ensure optimal resource utilization within project budgets. Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Manager will have several key responsibilities, including:
Line management of Shelter and WASH Project staff to ensure effective team performance.
Overseeing program implementation to guarantee adherence to NRC policies and procedures.
Collaborating with the Area Manager and Area Programme Manager to develop area programme strategies for Shelter and WASH.
Ensuring the relevance and quality of projects, including capitalization and reporting.
Assessing needs and developing emergency response plans tailored to the area.
Ensuring optimal use of resources within allocated project budgets.
Capacity building of all shelter and WASH staff to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
Representing NRC and networking at the area level as delegated by the APM and AM.
Advocating for the rights of vulnerable populations in line with NRC's advocacy strategy.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum university degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Public Health from recognized and reputable universities. They should have a solid understanding of all technical issues related to WASH and Shelter activities. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior-level project implementation position within a humanitarian or recovery context, with specific experience in both Shelter and WASH. A good understanding and interpretation of BoQs, drawings, material specifications, and cost estimates are essential, along with experience in contract management and conflict resolution.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a minimum university degree in relevant fields such as Architecture, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Public Health.
