Job Overview:
The Asistente de Operaciones will play a crucial role in the execution of functions related to the care of migrants eligible for the Assisted Voluntary Return Program. This position requires direct supervision from the Project Coordinator and general oversight from the Head of Mission and the Program Coordinator/Deputy Head of Mission. The assistant will be responsible for informing interested migrants about the program, ensuring they make informed decisions. Additionally, the role involves logistical support for setting up entrepreneurial initiatives and monitoring the reintegration phase. The assistant will facilitate the completion of necessary forms in the MiMOSA system, collect signatures and fingerprints, and prepare logistical and administrative arrangements for returns, including consular procedures for travel documents, medical reviews, and notifications to the National Migration Institute. The assistant will also be responsible for tracking voluntary return movements and ensuring compliance with international standards and OIM procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Asistente de Operaciones include: informing interested migrants about the Assisted Voluntary Return Program, providing logistical support for entrepreneurial initiatives, facilitating the completion of forms in the MiMOSA system, preparing logistical and administrative arrangements for returns, including consular procedures, accompanying migrants to the airport for check-in and baggage documentation, ensuring compliance with international transport standards, maintaining accurate records of returns and beneficiaries, monitoring reintegration conditions for returned individuals, and performing other relevant functions as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a professional background in social sciences or political sciences with at least two years of relevant professional experience, or a secondary education certificate with four years of relevant experience. Candidates should have relevant experience in local projects related to migration, policy development, and training activities. Knowledge of migration and gender studies is considered an advantage. Proficiency in data processing programs such as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and other Office applications is essential. Experience in social or humanitarian work and familiarity with international cooperation and humanitarian organizations is also advantageous.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a degree in social sciences or political sciences, or alternatively, a secondary education certificate with extensive relevant experience. The educational background should ideally include studies related to migration and gender, which would enhance the candidate's understanding of the issues faced by migrants.

Experience:
The position requires at least two years of relevant professional experience in the field of migration, policy development, and implementation of training activities. Candidates with experience in local projects related to migration and those who have worked with international humanitarian organizations will be preferred. Experience in social work or humanitarian assistance is also beneficial.

Languages:
Proficiency in Spanish is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in the region. Knowledge of English or other languages may be considered an advantage, particularly for communication with international partners and stakeholders.
