They will also be responsible for drafting informational materials, developing content for social media platforms, and updating the communications calendar and list of events. Additionally, the intern may perform other research-related tasks as required and support any other business activities as requested by the Regional Information Officer. This role is integral to ensuring effective communication and outreach for UNEP's initiatives in the region.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: (a) be currently enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be currently enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). A field of study that is closely related to the internship, such as Communications, Journalism, Design, or another relevant area, is required. While professional work experience is not mandatory for applicants to the UN Internship Programme, a strong academic background in a relevant field is essential.
