The MTM is designed to systematically track and monitor displacement and population mobility, providing essential data to understand the movements and evolving needs of mobile populations. The Enumerator will be responsible for conducting individual interviews with international migrants residing in Kazakhstan, ensuring that data collection adheres to IOM guidelines and principles. This role requires a strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards, as well as the ability to engage effectively with diverse communities. The Enumerator will also be expected to develop success stories based on best practices observed during interviews, contributing to the overall narrative report at the end of the data collection phase. Duties and Responsibilities: The Enumerator will perform a variety of tasks under the supervision of the IOM Chief of Mission and in coordination with MTM project Assistants. Key responsibilities include: conducting individual face-to-face interviews with international migrants, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of collected data, and conducting follow-up interviews as necessary. The Enumerator will also be responsible for developing fieldwork plans, coordinating with field supervisors, and ensuring compliance with IOM guidelines during data collection. Additional duties include preparing necessary equipment for field visits, establishing good relationships with migrant communities, validating information through cross-checking, and documenting any challenges encountered during the fieldwork. The Enumerator must maintain detailed records of daily activities and ensure that all survey forms are correctly uploaded to the data management system.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of a high school diploma, with a completed university degree being an advantage. Relevant formal education related to the assignment is also beneficial. The position requires at least two years of experience in conducting community and household assessments and surveys, as well as a solid understanding of the relationship between migration and development. Experience working with international organizations and UN agencies is considered an advantage. The Enumerator should demonstrate good knowledge of migration and development concepts, familiarity with IOM's mandate, and possess strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and creativity.
