Job Overview:
The Senior Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the team by providing essential administrative and budget-related support. This position requires interaction with colleagues across the Bank and external clients, making it vital for the smooth functioning of various processes. The Senior Officer will be responsible for arranging travel, coordinating events, managing internal documents, and maintaining data accuracy in EBRD-specific applications. This role also involves assisting with consultancy contracts and budget monitoring, making it essential for the Senior Officer to have strong organizational and analytical skills. The position demands a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvements and requires the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Officer's duties include arranging travel in accordance with EBRD policy, coordinating facilities and technical assistance for events, managing diary schedules, maintaining data accuracy in specific applications, and handling internal and external correspondence. The role also involves assisting with the management of consultancy contracts, monitoring the budget, conducting research for reports, and providing analytical support. The Senior Officer is expected to manage their own workload while collaborating with other Senior Officers to ensure departmental efficiency. Additionally, the Senior Officer may take on roles such as IT Coordinator or Records Management Coordinator as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with a degree or equivalent business experience. A recognized secretarial or business qualification is advantageous but not mandatory. The role requires strong organizational, administrative, and analytical skills, as well as a self-motivated attitude and the ability to work independently. Attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members are essential. Proficiency in IT software, particularly the Microsoft Suite and MS365, is required, along with the ability to draft business correspondence and documents.

Educational Background:
A degree in a relevant field or equivalent business experience is required for this position. While a recognized secretarial or business qualification is beneficial, it is not a strict requirement. The educational background should support the necessary skills for effective communication, organization, and analytical tasks.

Experience:
Candidates should have relevant experience in a similar administrative role, demonstrating strong written and oral communication skills. A good level of numeracy and experience with budget management is preferred. The ability to prioritize tasks and work independently while being a supportive team member is crucial. Familiarity with a range of IT software and tools is also necessary for success in this position.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of an additional language, both written and spoken, is considered advantageous and may enhance the candidate's profile.
