Job Overview:
The Analyst, Payroll position is a critical role within the Payroll Team, focusing on ensuring the integrity and quality of payroll data. The primary responsibility of the Analyst is to maintain high standards of data quality, ensuring that all staff are compensated accurately and on time. This involves generating HR reports, utilizing tools such as Tableau, and coordinating system changes in collaboration with various teams, including the Human Resources and Organizational Development (HROD) and SAP teams. The Analyst will also be tasked with processing payrolls for both headquarters and regional offices, continuously seeking improvements in efficiency and accuracy. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving payroll issues, as well as implementing changes to enhance the overall payroll process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst, Payroll will be responsible for a comprehensive set of duties, including but not limited to: producing monthly payrolls for both HQ and regional offices while adhering to strict audit controls; identifying and resolving errors and omissions in payroll data; creating BACS and Swift files for payment transmission; managing manual payments related to salaries and rentals; preparing reports and payments to third parties such as insurance providers and retirement plan administrators; monitoring incoming messages from banks and responding appropriately; checking payroll data entry using reporting tools; collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address data quality issues; providing expert advice on payroll activities; acting as an escalation point for team members; managing system enhancements related to SAP Payroll; conducting user acceptance testing (UAT); tightening controls and monitoring risks; liaising with auditors; delivering annual payroll activities; and contributing to projects aimed at improving payroll processes.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess extensive and proven experience in international payroll, ideally within the financial services sector. They should demonstrate strong analytical skills, with the ability to manipulate data effectively to ensure high data quality. Essential qualifications include the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly, strong stakeholder engagement skills, attention to detail, and the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Additionally, candidates should have excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate across teams. Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is essential for this position, with a preference for degrees in finance, human resources, or a related field. Professional certifications in payroll management or human resources would be advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to the field.

Experience:
The role requires significant experience in payroll management, particularly in an international context. Candidates should have a proven track record of working with payroll systems and processes, ideally with experience in SAP HR and SAP Financial systems. Familiarity with Swift is also preferred, as it relates to payment processing.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Additional language skills may be considered an asset, particularly if they relate to the regions in which the EBRD operates.
