Job Overview:
The Analyst position at EBRD is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the Bank's equity data and providing a consistent platform for information, analysis, and reporting related to the Bank's equity portfolio. This role serves as the primary liaison between Banking and Finance departments concerning equity portfolio management. The Analyst will be involved in various processes, including the direct equity fair value approval process and the valuation of equity and property funds. The position requires a proactive approach to ensure data accuracy and consistency, as well as the ability to deliver operational tasks efficiently while adhering to established standards and deadlines. The Analyst will also engage in reporting activities, data analysis, and system testing, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Bank's operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst will have a range of responsibilities, including participating in the Bank's direct equity fair value approval process, collecting and valuing equity and property funds portfolio data, and ensuring the quality of outputs. Daily operational tasks will include reviewing legal documentation for new equity investments, advising on transaction codes, and managing divestments, equity fund capital calls, and distributions. The Analyst will monitor assigned Banking sector teams/portfolios, collaborate with Banking counterparts, and ensure that all legal arrangements are accurately recorded. The role also involves periodic and ad-hoc reporting for management, data analysis, and preparation for larger management reporting. Additionally, the Analyst will conduct user acceptance testing for system upgrades and assist external auditors with relevant documentation and queries.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field, or have several years of relevant banking or portfolio experience. Professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, or CPA are advantageous. Proficiency in quantitative and numerical skills is essential, along with the ability to interpret financial information and review financial models. Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), is required. A good understanding of relevant systems and processes is also necessary. Candidates should demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills in English, as well as a previous experience in banking and a general understanding of equity investments. The ability to work effectively as part of a team, with keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills, is crucial for meeting deadlines.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in finance, economics, business, or a related subject.
