Job Overview:
The Programme Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting UN Women’s corporate systems and data transparency initiatives. This position involves the continued roll-out and user adoption of PRISM, the new corporate system for planning, monitoring, and reporting. The incumbent will provide technical and training support to end-users, ensuring effective utilization of PRISM for strategic planning and reporting. The role also includes contributing to data quality assurance and analytics, enhancing the organization’s transparency agenda through the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) and the UN Women Transparency Portal. The Programme Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the systems are effectively integrated and aligned with corporate policies, thereby enhancing the overall data management and reporting standards within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to end-users for effective use of PRISM in planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Regularly update and manage PRISM Intranet pages and training resources.
  • Deliver Training of Trainers (TOT) sessions to equip PRISM focal points.
  • Contribute to internal communication and change management efforts regarding PRISM implementation.
  • Coordinate with PRISM focal points to support the roll-out of the system.
  • Serve as the Global Admin for backend management of PRISM processes and users.
  • Enhance data publication to IATI and the Transparency Portal.
  • Coordinate IATI reporting processes and maintain UN Women’s IATI XML datasets.
  • Support the enhancement of the Transparency Portal and ensure data quality. 1
  • Monitor system performance and user feedback to inform improvements. 1
  • Assist in documenting business needs and functional requirements for system enhancements. 1
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and prepare presentations for ICT/ERP Board meetings. 1
  • Promote effective use of data generated from corporate systems for planning and reporting. 1
  • Support data integrity and consistency across PRISM modules and ensure accurate data flow into the Transparency Portal. 1
  • Contribute to the corporate efforts for continuous improvement of analytical tools and processes.

Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in development-related disciplines, statistics, economics, information systems, computer science, ICT, public policy, or other social science fields is required.
  • A first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
  • A project/programme management certification would be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with web-based results tracking systems or programme management platforms in international development contexts is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience providing end-user support for corporate IT systems is required.
  • Familiarity with the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI is required.
  • Proficiency in using office software packages and database tools is required.
  • Experience with modern web-based ERP systems is desirable. 1
  • Experience in developing business and functional requirement specifications for IT systems is desirable.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in relevant fields such as development, statistics, economics, information systems, computer science, ICT, public policy, or social sciences. A first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. A project/programme management certification is considered an advantage.

Experience:
The position requires at least 2 years of experience working with web-based results tracking systems or programme management platforms in the context of international development, humanitarian, or peace and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security work. Additionally, at least 1 year of experience in providing end-user support for corporate IT systems, including the preparation of user guides and training materials, is required. Familiarity with data management and transparency initiatives at various levels is also necessary.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language, such as French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish, is desirable and can enhance a candidate's profile.
