Job Overview:
The Communication Officer (Donor's communication and visibility) NOA plays a crucial role in UNICEF Lebanon's efforts to maintain strong donor engagement. This position involves producing multimedia and advocacy materials, organizing field visits and events, and ensuring that donor contributions are recognized across all program areas. The officer will report to the Communication Specialist NOC and will be responsible for developing donor visibility reports and managing partner relations for donor visibility. The role is essential in supporting UNICEF's mission to deliver essential services to children and families throughout Lebanon, particularly in the context of the 2021–2025 Country Programme.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement donor communication strategies to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Produce high-quality multimedia and advocacy materials that effectively communicate UNICEF's mission and impact.
  • Organize field visits and events for donors to showcase UNICEF's work and foster relationships.
  • Prepare and develop comprehensive donor visibility reports that highlight contributions and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of donor communication efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay updated on UNICEF's programs and initiatives to effectively communicate their importance to donors.

Required Qualifications:
  • University degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • One year of professional work experience in handling communication components of donor visibility, including asset production and organization of field visits.
  • Experience in advocacy or campaigning, particularly within international or national NGOs, UN, or other multilateral organizations is an asset.
  • Familiarity with emergency situations is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of communication strategies and tools.

Educational Background:
A university degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage donor communication and visibility efforts.

Experience:
The position requires at least one year of professional work experience in communication, specifically related to donor visibility. Experience in advocacy or campaigning, particularly within NGOs or UN organizations, is highly desired. Familiarity with emergency situations is also beneficial, as it aligns with UNICEF's focus on supporting vulnerable populations in crisis contexts.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another UN language is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
