Job Overview: The purpose of this consultancy is to support the Advocacy and Communication area by planning, generating content, and moderating community engagement on digital communication channels. This role is crucial for achieving the Advocacy, Communication, and Fundraising goals set for the year 202
The consultant will be responsible for planning content, producing it through video recording, photography, and graphic design in accordance with UNICEF's branding guidelines, and publishing it according to an approved calendar. Additionally, the consultant must be flexible to cover key events on social media or generate content that responds quickly to current situations or crises that need to be published on digital channels. The consultant will work under the supervision of the Advocacy and Communication Officer, managing official accounts on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn, which includes participating in monthly planning, producing and posting approved content, and monitoring and responding to follower comments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage official accounts on X, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn, including monthly planning and posting of approved content.
Create digital content (text, images, audio, and video) for each social media platform according to work plan priorities, aiming for at least 7 posts (feed or reel) per week and at least 10 stories.
Ensure at least 2 reels and one carousel are included in the weekly posts, with 2 or 3 differentiated posts for LinkedIn focusing on corporate content.
Generate and adapt digital pieces for global and/or regional UNICEF campaigns, ensuring relevance and alignment with office priorities.
Provide digital coverage for events, meetings, launches, and visits related to UNICEF Panama and partners, including photography, live online broadcasts, and videos as needed.
Design materials for social media use, including invitations, roll-ups, logos, and PPTs, with agreed costs for additional design hours.
Develop Q&A guides for interaction with users or followers based on current topics and frequently asked questions.
Interact with users or followers, assisting them with information needs regarding children and adolescents.
Propose advertising investment plans for approval and generate monthly reports on KPIs related to digital and social media performance. 1
The consultant must have their own equipment (computer, camera, microphones, lights, mobile phone) and design/editing software to produce approved content. 1
Complete a Drupal course within two weeks of contract start.
Required Qualifications:
University degree in Communication, Journalism, marketing" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Graphic Design, or Audiovisual Production.
Diplomas or postgraduate studies (master's or specialization) in digital marketing, graphic design, community management, or any additional training in a related field are considered an advantage.
At least 2 years of work experience in content generation for social media, digital marketing, and community management, with a specific focus on multimedia graphic design (video, infographics, etc.), media planning, and digital advertising acquisition.
Proven experience in graphic design and video editing using the main software for each task.
At least 2 years of experience in preparing KPI reports for digital media.
Good knowledge of digital communication trends, including analytical platforms, and advertising on Facebook, Google Adwords, and other marketing channels.
Experience with marketing automation tools and/or customer relationship management (CRM) is considered an advantage.
Ability to take initiative and work well independently and as part of a team. 1
Solid knowledge of photo and video production and post-production, as well as graphic design. 1
Excellent writing skills in Spanish.
Educational Background: A university degree in fields such as Communication, Journalism, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Graphic Design, or Audiovisual Production is required. Additional qualifications such as diplomas or postgraduate studies in relevant areas are advantageous and will enhance the candidate's profile.
Experience: The position requires at least 2 years of relevant work experience in content generation for social media, digital marketing, and community management. This experience should include a focus on multimedia graphic design, media planning, and digital advertising acquisition. Candidates should also have proven experience in graphic design and video editing, as well as in preparing KPI reports for digital media.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, with excellent writing skills. Knowledge of additional languages is considered a plus and may enhance the candidate's qualifications.
Additional Notes: The consultancy contract will be subject to the conditions established in the contract, including payment upon delivery of satisfactory products as determined by the UNICEF supervisor. Payments will be made approximately 15 days after the invoice is submitted. Candidates must be aware that they will not be considered 'staff' under the UN regulations and will not be entitled to benefits such as leave or health insurance coverage. They are responsible for determining their tax obligations and ensuring that any required visas and health insurance are valid throughout the contract period. Selected candidates must confirm their full vaccination status against COVID-19 with a WHO-approved vaccine before starting the assignment, although this does not apply to consultants working remotely.
