Job Overview: The E T Consultant position within the World Bank's Treasury sector is a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial management and administration of the World Bank Group's funded benefit plans. The role is situated within the Pension and Endowments Department (PEN), which oversees the financial management of various retirement and benefit plans, managing approximately $45 billion in assets across diverse investment classes. The consultant will be responsible for assessing current business processes and data infrastructure, implementing AI solutions, and ensuring compliance with data policies. This position requires collaboration with various teams to enhance operational efficiency and support the ongoing maintenance of deployed AI agents, ultimately contributing to the organization's mission of sustainable development and poverty alleviation.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will have a range of duties including assessing current business processes and data infrastructure to identify use cases for AI applications. They will plan and implement AI agents into production environments, ensuring minimal disruption to existing operations. The role also involves delivering training sessions for team members, managing knowledge sources, and ensuring data quality and compliance. Additionally, the consultant will support ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of deployed agents, collaborate with IT services to meet organizational standards, and provide user training and documentation for AI-powered solutions. Keeping abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements is also a key responsibility, as is managing information flows to data storage systems and querying data effectively.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a combination of degrees or certifications in Computer Science or AI, along with 2-3 years of experience in financial projects within investment middle offices or operations functions. Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365, data analytics, or a finance background are advantageous. A solid understanding of generative AI concepts, prompt engineering, and responsible AI use is essential, along with demonstrated skills in Python and SQL. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform and its applications, as well as experience in project management using tools like Copilot Studio, is also required. Strong communication and presentation skills, a high level of initiative, and the ability to work in a multicultural environment are critical for success in this role.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or additional certifications in relevant areas such as AI, data analytics, or finance will be considered a plus. Continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest technological trends in AI and financial management are encouraged.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial projects, particularly within investment middle offices or operations functions.
