Job Overview: The Digital Fundraising Specialist position at NRC is designed for a dynamic individual who will play a crucial role in expanding the organization's unearmarked funding through innovative digital strategies. The specialist will be responsible for engaging private individuals across various global digital channels, with the aim of enhancing the performance of existing fundraising efforts and accelerating return on investment (ROI). This role is part of NRC's global Private Fundraising team, which focuses on inspiring private individuals and organizations to support NRC's mission. The specialist will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies, analyze data to inform decisions, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities for donor engagement and optimizing existing fundraising channels.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Digital Fundraising Specialist will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: contributing to the development and implementation of NRC's global private individual fundraising strategy; advising on fundraising investments to increase diversity and create income resilience; conducting research and analysis to inform fundraising strategies; managing annual plans and budgets to meet fundraising targets; developing digital recruitment journeys and advertising models for donor engagement; adapting content for digital advertisements; ensuring compliance with NRC policies and procedures; and strengthening collaboration across departments. The specialist will also be responsible for measuring success in terms of recruitment volume, donor loyalty, and profitability, and will lead efforts to test and identify the most effective fundraising strategies.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Digital Fundraising Specialist position must possess a minimum of four years of experience in a senior fundraising role, preferably within the humanitarian sector. A bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital fundraising strategies and tools, as well as experience with Marketing Cloud and Campaign Suite. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is mandatory, and fluency in Norwegian is also required. The candidate should demonstrate a proven track record of successful fundraising initiatives and the ability to analyze data to drive decision-making.
