Job Overview: The internship program at the IAEA is designed to provide students and recent graduates with practical work experience that aligns with their academic studies and interests. Interns will gain exposure to the operations of the IAEA and the broader United Nations system. The program aims to benefit the IAEA's initiatives by leveraging the skills and knowledge of qualified students specializing in various professional fields. Internships typically last between three months and one year, allowing interns to immerse themselves in the organization's work and contribute meaningfully to its projects. The intern will specifically assist the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Team in implementing the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) ServiceNow (SNOW) platform across various workstreams, including IT Assets, Data Privacy, and Artificial Intelligence.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for supporting the GRC Team in several key areas: coordinating meetings with stakeholders, assisting in the formalization of the control framework within the GRC tool, and supporting the configuration, customization, and maintenance of the SNOW IRM platform. Daily administrative tasks will include user management, access controls, and platform maintenance. The intern will also analyze platform issues and incidents, participate in testing new features, document configurations, and contribute to user guides. Additionally, the intern may be involved in platform upgrades and contribute to the development of the platform roadmap.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in Information Technology or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams and SharePoint, is essential. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are required, along with attention to detail and effective time-management abilities. Experience in security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">information security, risk management, business system analysis, and systems analysis is highly desirable. Familiarity with testing management processes is also beneficial.
Educational Background: Applicants must be at least 20 years old and have completed a minimum of three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards a first degree. Candidates may apply within one year of completing their bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree. Previous participation in the IAEA's internship program is not permitted.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have a foundational understanding of information technology principles and practices, as well as relevant coursework or experience in information security and risk management. While specific professional experience is not mandatory, familiarity with the field through academic projects or internships is advantageous.
Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English is essential for this position. Proficiency in any other IAEA official language, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, or Russian, is considered an asset and will enhance the candidate's application.
