Job Overview:
The Online Volunteer position is designed to support the Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF) approach, which assists governments in developing financing strategies to mobilize and align resources for sustainable development. The selected volunteer will play a crucial role in analyzing data from past INFF Annual Surveys and preparing for the upcoming 2025 survey cycle. This position involves reviewing historical survey data, conducting policy research on relevant national financing reforms, and contributing to the refinement of the survey instrument and data collection process. The primary objective is to enhance the quality, clarity, and usefulness of survey data, which is essential for capturing progress and results across countries implementing INFFs. The volunteer will work with a total of 60-70 survey questionnaires, ensuring that the data collected is accurate and insightful for global reporting and strategic support to countries.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze country responses from previous INFF Annual Surveys to identify trends and insights.
  • Conduct policy research on national financing reforms to validate and contextualize survey responses.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the survey instrument for the 2025 survey cycle.
  • Assist in the data collection process to ensure high-quality survey data.
  • Collaborate with UNDP teams to generate insights that inform global reporting and knowledge products.
  • Provide recommendations for improving the survey methodology and data analysis techniques.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with UNDP staff to align on project goals and deliverables.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Familiarity with national financing strategies and sustainable development concepts.
  • Excellent research skills, including the ability to conduct literature reviews and synthesize findings.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Educational Background:
A degree in international development, economics, public policy, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant coursework or experience in data analysis, research methodologies, or sustainable development will be highly regarded.

Experience:
Previous experience in data analysis, policy research, or working with international organizations is desirable. Familiarity with survey methodologies and experience in conducting surveys or assessments will be an advantage.
