Job Overview: The CC coordinator" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Finance Coordinator is tasked with overseeing financial management and compliance for the implementation of a $5 million program funded by Danida/SDC and other donors. This role demands a high level of financial planning, compliance, budgeting management, and partnership management. The coordinator will need to possess strong coordination and communication skills to effectively support consortium partners and ensure efficient financial management. The position involves ensuring adherence to donor regulations, managing compliance oversight for the consortium, and providing guidance and tools to partners. The coordinator will also be responsible for financial reporting, budget management, and ensuring that all partners are informed of finance-related decisions and policies. The role requires a proactive approach to developing solutions that align with compliance requirements while facilitating the achievement of partnership strategies. Additionally, the coordinator will engage in sub-grant management, ensuring that agreements are issued and monitored according to regulations, and will support the financial implementation of projects while addressing inquiries from partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Compliance: Provide oversight for consortium compliance with donor regulations, review partner transactions for compliance, maintain risk registers, and ensure partners are updated on finance decisions.
Sub-Grant Management: Support the issuance and monitoring of sub-grant agreements, ensure compliance with DRC procedures, and assist partners during audits.
Financial Management: Manage consortium finances, lead audit processes, review partner payment requests, and ensure timely financial reporting.
DRC Dynamics ERP System: Support the use of DRC Dynamics for financial processes and apply data analytics to improve performance.
Field Visits: Conduct field visits and verifications in coordination with partners as needed.
Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist the Finance Unit with additional tasks as required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in finance management roles, including accounting and audit. Experience with leading international NGOs and knowledge of donor requirements, particularly from Danida, SDC, Sida, and other European donors, is essential. Familiarity with consortiums and partnerships is preferred. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to lead and motivate teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and advanced Excel skills are also required.
Educational Background: A higher education degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is mandatory. A postgraduate degree or advanced professional qualification in Finance, such as an Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance or a Certificate in Business Accounting, is preferred.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance management, including roles in accounting and internal/external auditing. Experience working with international NGOs and a deep understanding of donor requirements is crucial. Familiarity with consortium management and partnerships is also beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, while proficiency in Arabic is desirable. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively in both languages to fulfill the requirements of the position.
