Job Overview:
The Team Assistant position is a vital role within the Ghana Country Office Administrative and Client Support (ACS) team. The individual in this role will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and client support to the operational staff, which includes frequent interaction with various institutional units, government officials, consultants, and external organizations. The Team Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office by managing schedules, preparing reports, and facilitating communication among team members and stakeholders. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Team Assistant will undertake a variety of duties, including but not limited to: providing operational and administrative support for the preparation and implementation of World Bank projects; producing complex reports, presentations, and charts using desktop processing skills; collecting and inputting data into the central database; drafting routine correspondence and minutes of meetings; maintaining current distribution and contact lists; arranging schedules and meetings for visiting teams; coordinating time management and schedules; tracking project timelines and reporting on operational activities; solving non-routine problems creatively; assisting in logistical planning for events; serving as a backup for other staff; and performing analytical tasks as requested by the Team Leader.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience. Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English are essential, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Advanced computer skills and full proficiency in relevant software applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are required. Preference will be given to local talent who are authorized to work in the duty station for any employer.

Educational Background:
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required for this position. Candidates with additional certifications or training in administration, office management, or related areas will be viewed favorably, as they may enhance the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the role effectively.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least two years of relevant experience in administrative support or a similar role. Experience working in an international organization or in a development context is highly desirable, as it will provide valuable insights into the operational environment of the World Bank Group.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. While not required, knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if it pertains to the regions in which the World Bank operates.
