Job Overview: The Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the recruitment process for FHI 360, ensuring that the organization attracts and hires the best talent across multiple countries. This position involves overseeing the entire recruitment lifecycle, from job posting to the finalization of employment contracts. The specialist will work closely with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs, develop job descriptions, and align them with organizational standards. The role requires a proactive approach to sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and performing background checks, all while maintaining accurate candidate records. The specialist will also be responsible for negotiating job offers and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new hires. This position is temporary, extending through the end of January 2026, with the possibility of an extension based on organizational needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish recruiting requirements by discussing recruitment plans and needs with managers.
Collaborate with the Compensation team to review position descriptions and ensure alignment with organizational standards.
Work with the HRIS team to ensure the project structure is built out in the HR Information System and post jobs based on project needs.
Review resumes and applications for job openings, arranging interviews by contacting candidates via phone or email.
Develop and maintain candidate records for interviews, performing background and reference checks as necessary.
Process employment offers and contracts for selected candidates following the selection process.
Provide status reports and updates to hiring managers regarding posted jobs and prepared job offers.
Ensure compliance with FHI 360's recruitment policies and procedures, including safeguarding commitments.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or its international equivalent. They should have 5-8 years of experience in staffing and recruitment activities, as well as familiarity with human resources practices. The ideal candidate will be articulate, professional, and able to communicate effectively with clients and staff. Proficiency in English is mandatory, and fluency in the host country language is preferred. Experience with the Workday HRIS system is strongly preferred, along with prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO).
Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree or its international equivalent is required for this position. This educational background should ideally be in human resources, business administration, or a related field that provides the necessary knowledge and skills for effective recruitment and talent acquisition.
Experience: The position typically requires 5-8 years of relevant experience in staffing and recruitment activities. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of human resources practices and be able to effectively manage the recruitment process from start to finish. Experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) is highly desirable, as it provides insight into the unique challenges and requirements of recruiting in this sector.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Additionally, proficiency in the host country language is considered a valuable asset, enhancing the ability to connect with local candidates and stakeholders.
