Job Overview: The Senior Information Solutions Officer is tasked with leading the Access to Bank Knowledge Value Stream, which encompasses the management of various repositories and their workflows. This role involves close collaboration with technical teams and product owners to ensure effective governance and oversight of knowledge management processes. The officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with the World Bank's Access to Information Policy and Open Access Policy for Publications, while also fostering partnerships across various departments to enhance the knowledge ecosystem. The position requires a strategic mindset to drive innovation and improve the usability of information systems, particularly through the integration of AI/ML technologies for optimizing workflows and enhancing data discoverability.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Information Solutions Officer will oversee the Access to Bank Knowledge Value Stream, ensuring that all processes related to document submission, curation, disclosure, and publication are aligned with established policies. Key responsibilities include defining and maintaining business rules for information governance, establishing service expectations for client groups, and leading strategic decision-making initiatives. The officer will also partner with IT teams to monitor repository reliability and data quality, enhance user experience, and manage platform modernization efforts. Additionally, the role involves identifying AI/ML use cases to improve information management and conducting stakeholder engagement to facilitate change management and capacity building within the organization.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a degree in Information/Library Science, Information Systems, Digital Publishing, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in enterprise content management and digital platforms. Expertise in metadata standards and repository operations is essential, as is experience in partnering with IT delivery teams on platform modernization. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate effectively across various departments are also required. Familiarity with the World Bank's disclosure and publishing policies is considered an asset.
Educational Background: A relevant degree in Information/Library Science, Information Systems, Digital Publishing, Computer Science, or a related field is mandatory. Candidates should have a strong academic background that supports their understanding of enterprise content management and digital publishing practices.
Experience: The position requires 8 to 10 years of experience in fields related to enterprise content management, repositories, and digital platforms, particularly within complex organizations. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of managing information governance and disclosure processes, as well as experience in applying AI/ML technologies to enhance information management.
Languages: Proficiency in English is required for this position, while knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset. This linguistic capability is essential for effective communication and collaboration within the diverse environment of the World Bank Group.
