Job Overview: The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities at construction and maintenance project sites. This role involves supervising contractors to ensure that work is executed in accordance with contract documents, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to health and safety regulations. The supervisor will monitor the quality of materials and workmanship, ensuring compliance with specifications and conducting necessary tests. The position requires evaluating and measuring work completed by contractors, verifying payment requests, and ensuring conformity with executed quantities. The supervisor will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records in the Facilities ManagementInformation System (FMIS), preparing technical and financial progress reports, and addressing any technical difficulties that arise during the project. The role demands effective communication and collaboration with the supervisor and contractors to ensure safe and satisfactory execution of construction and maintenance works.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee daily activities at construction/maintenance project sites, ensuring compliance with contract documents and quality standards.
Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship, conducting necessary tests and inspections.
Evaluate and measure work completed by contractors, verifying payment requests and ensuring conformity with executed quantities.
Ensure correctness of levelling and surveying of construction sites, resolving technical difficulties in consultation with supervisors.
Maintain accurate records of working, shop, and as-built drawings, documenting any deviations from original plans.
Prepare and discuss necessary Variation Orders and Extension of Time with supervisors, assessing additional work details and costs.
Maintain records in FMIS, including payments, variation orders, and project progress, preparing reports as required.
Approve contractor methods for safe execution of works in consultation with supervisors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution. A minimum of three years of experience in site supervision of construction, maintenance, or infrastructure projects is required. Candidates should also indicate their involvement in outside activities, including employment, consultancy, teaching, or voluntary work, as this information is necessary for the application process. Educational Background: A university degree in civil engineering from an accredited university or institution is mandatory for this position.
