Job Overview: The ICT Systems Support position at ODIHR involves providing essential support in the field of Information and Communication Technology. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting users with ICT resources, ensuring effective use of technology, and providing first-level help desk assistance for standard office products. This role requires a proactive approach to improving ICT support services, maintaining a Service Desk database, and preparing Standard Operating Procedures. The successful candidate will also act as a systems administrator for various projects, manage user accounts, and ensure the proper functioning of telecommunications technology. The position is critical for supporting ODIHR's programs and projects, particularly in the context of ongoing mission deployments across various countries.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the ICT Systems Support role include: assisting users in effectively utilizing ICT resources, providing systems orientation and training, offering first-level help desk assistance for standard office products, liaising with external providers for ICT services, maintaining a Service Desk database of user problems and solutions, preparing Standard Operating Procedures and user manuals, acting as systems administrator for Extra budgetary projects, administering mobile devices management systems, installing and setting up computer equipment, managing user and email accounts, maintaining printer queues, troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on IT and COMMS equipment, and preparing standard installation packages for ongoing mission equipment. The role also involves proposing and supporting activities related to emergency telecommunications.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have completed secondary education and possess a minimum of five years of experience in end-user support. They should have experience in the installation and maintenance of office computer hardware and software, as well as in Microsoft Windows operating administration" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">system administration. Familiarity with telecommunications technologies, videoconferencing software, and equipment is essential. Candidates should be computer literate with practical experience in Microsoft applications and printer hardware, and must demonstrate the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve hardware and software problems. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English are mandatory, while a working knowledge of Polish is desirable. Additionally, candidates should be able to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and demonstrate gender awareness and sensitivity.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Candidates should have a solid understanding of ICT principles and practices, as well as relevant technical skills that align with the responsibilities of the role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in end-user support, with a strong emphasis on practical knowledge of ICT systems and technologies. Candidates should have a proven track record of providing effective support and troubleshooting for various hardware and software issues, as well as experience in managing telecommunications technologies.

Additional Notes: The position is a full-time contracted role with a fixed-term status. The monthly remuneration is approximately PLN 8,200, and OSCE salaries are exempt from taxation in Poland. The organization provides social security benefits, including participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and contributions to a pension-style fund. Appointments are typically made at Step 1 of the OSCE salary scale, with potential for higher initial appointments based on relevant experience.
