Job Overview: The Operations Officer - Business Product Owner for Investment Products will play a crucial role within the Corporate Portfolio Management (CPM) Department of IFC. This position is pivotal in leading the business analysis and impact assessment for the Project Processing module of the Phoenix program, which aims to modernize IFC's legacy operations systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for simplifying user journeys for Investment Operations staff and ensuring that the necessary tools and processes are in place to deliver high-quality services to clients. The role requires a strong focus on innovation, with the expectation that the officer will leverage technology solutions to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency. The Operations Officer will also be tasked with collaborating closely with IT and other stakeholders to ensure that the implementation of new modules aligns with business priorities and maximizes internal efficiencies.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Operations Officer will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: owning the priorities and roadmaps for the Project Processing module; organizing and facilitating requirements gathering sessions and business process reviews; collaborating with IT to plan and sequence the implementation of enhancements; contributing to the continuous streamlining of business processes; championing the adoption of technology innovations; reviewing existing policies and procedures to identify automation opportunities; preparing and presenting updates and reports for leadership; assessing dependencies and risks; collecting feedback on process changes; and ensuring the realization of business value from implemented solutions. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and a commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree and have 8-12 years of relevant experience. In-depth knowledge of IFC’s processes and systems is desirable, along with experience in corporate initiatives that have identified gaps between current and future states. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex business processes and support data-driven decision-making. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong orientation toward innovation, with experience in leveraging new technologies to simplify processes and enhance user experiences. Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, are essential, as is the ability to lead requirements elicitation workshops and effectively prepare documentation.
Educational Background: A Master's degree is required for this position, reflecting the advanced level of expertise needed to navigate the complexities of investment operations and business process management. Candidates should have a strong academic background that supports their analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, which are critical for success in this role.
