Job Overview:
The Specialist, Program Business Solutions and Analysis plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between end users and technical solutions within the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). This position is primarily focused on building strong relationships with staff in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) WWF-US managed Country Offices to understand their reporting and analytics needs. The specialist will translate these needs into effective and sustainable solutions, primarily utilizing Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. The role ensures data accuracy, usability, and alignment with operational priorities, while also supporting Workday Adaptive Planning reporting, process documentation, system enhancement testing, and user enablement in both English and Spanish. This position is vital for enhancing the decision-making capabilities of the organization by providing timely and actionable insights through data visualization and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Specialist, Program Business Solutions and Analysis include:
  • Reporting and Analytics (Primary Focus): - Proactively engage with HQ Program Operations and Country Office staff in both English and Spanish to understand business questions, reporting requirements, and decision-making needs. - Design, build, and maintain a suite of Power BI and Microsoft Fabric dashboards that provide timely, actionable insights tailored to end-user needs. - Validate report data for accuracy, ensuring dashboards reflect correct business rules and structures, and maintain documentation for report logic, definitions, filters, and assumptions. - Develop, facilitate, and deliver training, guidance materials, and job aids in collaboration with the Director to help users navigate and interpret reports. - Provide ongoing user support in English and Spanish, responding to user questions, troubleshooting issues, and guiding non-technical staff in data-driven decision-making.
  • Process & System Support (Secondary Focus): - Assist in system issue triage by reproducing and documenting errors, coordinating with relevant teams, and testing fixes. - Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements, providing feedback and supporting release communications. - Assist with periodic access audits and coordinate with IT on user provisioning for reporting tools. - Contribute to process mapping, workflow documentation, and light process improvement activities in collaboration with the Director.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include: - A Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, information systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business intelligence/reporting roles. - Bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish is required, with a demonstrated ability to support Spanish-speaking users. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, including data modeling and visualization best practices. - Advanced Excel and Power Query skills, including complex formulas and data transformation techniques are preferred. - Familiarity with one or more of the following systems: Workday Adaptive Planning, Workday, and SmartSimple is preferred. - Knowledge of data governance and cross-system integration is highly desired. - Experience working with international or distributed teams is strongly preferred.

Educational Background:
The educational background needed for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, information systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience may also be considered, provided it aligns with the requirements of the role.

Experience:
The level of experience needed for this position is a minimum of 5 years in relevant business intelligence or reporting roles. Candidates should have a proven track record of working with data analytics tools and methodologies, as well as experience in engaging with diverse teams across different geographical locations.

Languages:
Mandatory languages for this position include bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. This is essential for effective communication and support for users in both languages. Additional languages may be considered a plus but are not required.
