Job Overview:
The Staff Accountant position at VIYA Health is designed for a detail-oriented and results-driven individual who will oversee financial activities, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to the financial success of the organization. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in financial reporting and will provide strategic insights to support the company's overall financial objectives. This role requires a proactive approach to managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory management, and general ledger activities. The Staff Accountant will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve overall efficiency, ensuring that the financial operations align with the organization's mission and goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Staff Accountant will manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and general ledger activities. Key responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards. The role involves coordinating the setup of sites and items for inventory, adjusting quantities on hand, and overseeing inventory transfers between suppliers and in-market entities. The Staff Accountant will monitor the entry of vendor bills, gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment, and ensure that statutory payments are submitted on time. Additionally, the role includes managing customer setups and price lists, reconciling customer accounts, supervising the receipt of customer payments, and conducting bank reconciliations. The Staff Accountant will also collaborate with external audit firms to plan and schedule audit activities, support high complexity audit samples, and coordinate audit timelines and deliverables. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to adapt to changing responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with CPA certification preferred. Proven experience as a Finance Officer, Accountant, or in a similar role is required, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a commercial business. Familiarity with US GAAP and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is essential, along with experience using QuickBooks Enterprise. At least 1 year of public accounting experience in an audit firm is preferred as part of the overall 5 years of experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary, along with excellent attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to present complex financial information to stakeholders and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment is also crucial.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Staff Accountant position includes a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
