Job Overview:
The position of Missions involves working under the supervision of the Program Manager (RP EHA) to implement activities related to the production and distribution of treated water in targeted neighborhoods of Mayotte. This role requires the use of an ultrafiltration treatment unit to ensure that the water provided meets safety and quality standards. The candidate will face several challenges, including managing the ultrafiltration water production unit, frequent movement between treatment and distribution sites, and the need for diverse technical intervention skills. The candidate must also be attentive to the needs of beneficiaries and capable of working in precarious living conditions. The first two to three months will focus on achieving autonomy in water production and distribution, being responsive in a changing context, integrating into the existing team, and mastering monitoring tools and their adaptation as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the position include overseeing the operation of the ultrafiltration water production unit, ensuring the quality and safety of the water produced, managing the logistics of water distribution to the targeted neighborhoods, and collaborating with local partners to improve sanitary conditions. The candidate will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of the water treatment processes, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations. Additionally, the role involves engaging with community members to understand their needs and challenges regarding water access and sanitation, and adapting interventions accordingly. The candidate will work closely with a team of professionals, including logistics and administrative staff, to ensure the smooth operation of the project.

Required Qualifications:
The position does not require a specific diploma but seeks candidates with 0 to 2 years of experience in a similar role. Technical skills in plumbing operations and network maintenance of equipment are essential. Candidates should have a fundamental understanding of water chemistry and quality control principles, as well as the ability to perform basic mechanical operations. Knowledge of safety procedures and risk prevention related to equipment maintenance and operation is also required. Additionally, candidates should possess a valid driver's license (Permis B) and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. A strong sense of solidarity and commitment to serving vulnerable populations is crucial, along with the ability to work autonomously and adapt to mobile and variable environments.

Educational Background:
While no specific educational qualifications are required for this position, candidates should demonstrate relevant experience and technical skills that align with the responsibilities of the role. A background in environmental science, public health, or a related field may be beneficial but is not mandatory.

Experience:
Candidates should have between 0 to 2 years of experience in a similar position, particularly in roles related to water sanitation and hygiene promotion. Experience working in humanitarian settings or with vulnerable populations is advantageous, as is familiarity with water treatment processes and community engagement.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is French, as it is essential for communication with local partners and beneficiaries. Knowledge of Shimaoré is also required, as it will facilitate better engagement with the local community and enhance the effectiveness of interventions.
