Job Overview:
The Content Consultant position is part of UNICEF's Generation Unlimited (GenU) initiative, which aims to connect the world's youth to opportunities for education, employment, and social impact. The consultant will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a global certification strategy that enhances employability and job placement for young people, particularly in the Global South. This role involves driving innovation in content strategy, integrating AI into educational frameworks, and establishing GenU as a leader in youth digital credentials. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders, including UNICEF partners, to ensure that the content and certifications developed lead to tangible employment outcomes for youth. The position requires a strong emphasis on aligning educational content with labor market needs and fostering partnerships that facilitate job placements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including facilitating content operations for GenU solutions, developing a Global Certification Framework focused on micro-credentials and stackable certifications, and conducting analyses of current content to identify gaps in alignment with labor market needs. They will provide technical expertise to UNICEF country offices, curate diverse and inclusive content, support the implementation of the Creative Economy project, and coordinate with youth engagement initiatives. Additionally, the consultant will support partnerships with credential providers and employers, implement the AI Action Plan, and develop materials for knowledge dissemination. Key deliverables include training sessions for staff, deployment of new country instances of P2E, and updates to the global P2E library with job-oriented content.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree from a recognized university in fields such as Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or Innovation. They should have at least 7 years of relevant work experience in education technology, project management, or related areas. Strong experience in skills development, learning management systems, and designing entrepreneurship programs is essential. Experience working with marginalized youth and in AI programs within UNICEF is also required. Candidates must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with proficiency in another UN language considered an asset.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree from a recognized institution in relevant fields is mandatory for this position. The educational background should reflect a strong foundation in areas that support the objectives of the role, such as economics, business, or innovation.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in education technology, project management, or related fields. Candidates should have a proven track record in skills development and experience working with youth, particularly in marginalized communities. Familiarity with AI programs and educational frameworks is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required, with strong written and verbal communication skills. A working knowledge of another UN language is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The consultancy is set for a duration from January 15, 2026, to January 14, 2027, and is primarily remote. Candidates must complete their profiles in UNICEF's e-Recruitment system and submit their academic credentials along with a financial proposal detailing costs per deliverable. UNICEF will cover travel costs and daily subsistence allowances if international recruitment is necessary. Selected candidates must have valid health insurance and are subject to background checks.
