Job Overview:
The Senior Governance Specialist will play a pivotal role in leading the World Bank’s Anticorruption for Development Program (AC4D). This position involves overseeing the implementation of the program, which focuses on enhancing governance and reducing corruption through knowledge mobilization, data analytics, operational work, and convening stakeholders. The specialist will be responsible for producing high-quality outputs across the program's four main components: Knowledge and Innovation, Data and Analytics, Operational Work, and Convening. The role requires collaboration with regional colleagues and support for country operations, as well as representation of the World Bank in international forums. The specialist will also be tasked with mobilizing additional resources to ensure the program's sustainability and growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Governance Specialist include leading the AC4D Program, defining and implementing specific program activities, producing high-quality outputs, managing the program's budget, supporting country operations, representing the World Bank in international forums, mobilizing resources for program expansion, and leading the growth of the AC4D Global Partnership. The specialist will also coordinate with a team of colleagues working on the program at a global level and ensure timely delivery of activities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a master’s degree in public administration, public policy, political science, economics, or a relevant discipline, along with at least 8 years of relevant experience. They should demonstrate expertise in policy frameworks and implementation approaches related to anticorruption, possess superb program management skills, and have experience in supporting anticorruption reforms in various client countries. Excellent data analytics and quantitative skills are highly desirable, as is the ability to translate academic knowledge into actionable insights. Proven experience in mobilizing funding and establishing successful partnerships is also required, along with excellent writing and interpersonal skills.

Educational Background:
A master’s degree in a relevant field such as public administration, public policy, political science, or economics is required for this position. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of governance and anticorruption efforts.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, particularly in the areas of governance, public administration, and anticorruption. Candidates should have a proven track record of supporting reforms in various countries and contexts, demonstrating their ability to navigate complex political environments and implement effective solutions.

Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages is considered a strong advantage, as it can enhance communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
