Job Overview: The Call for Proposals aims to engage a Responsible Party, specifically a Civil Society Organization (CSO), to implement a project component titled 'Women Legislators in Liberia Promoting Voice, Leadership, and Gender-Responsive Governance for Sustainable Development.' This project is an 18-month initiative funded by the IBSA Fund, which supports poverty and hunger alleviation. Duties and Responsibilities: The selected CSO will be tasked with implementing various activities, including: 1) Delivering integrated training on adult literacy, entrepreneurship, and business development, including financial literacy and access to finance. 2) Establishing and supporting women's groupings such as Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) and cooperatives to promote financial inclusion and governance. 3) Conducting outreach and mobilization efforts to engage rural and young women, particularly those not in formal employment or education. 4) Collaborating closely with UN Women Liberia, the Women’s Legislative Caucus, and relevant government counterparts to ensure effective implementation of project activities. 5) Monitoring and evaluating the impact of the initiatives on women's economic security, confidence, and leadership capacity in local governance processes.
Required Qualifications: The lead organization must be a legally registered non-governmental organization with a proven track record in promoting women's political participation and economic empowerment. It should have certified annual financial statements for the previous three years and at least five years of relevant experience.
