Job Overview:
The position involves providing specialized support in project formulation and technical assistance to productive projects associated with peace signatories in Ocaña, Norte de Santander. The role is crucial in ensuring that these projects are effectively designed and implemented, with a focus on promoting equality and addressing the needs of victims and peace signatories. The contractor will work closely with local communities and stakeholders to develop strategies that enhance the productivity and sustainability of these projects. This position requires a deep understanding of social policies, public administration, and project management, particularly in the context of post-conflict scenarios. The contractor will be expected to engage in participatory methodologies that empower local populations and foster inclusive development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized technical assistance in the formulation of projects aimed at peace signatories and victims of violence.
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities for productive projects.
  • Develop project proposals that align with UNDP's strategic objectives and local development priorities.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance the capacity of local actors in project management and implementation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of projects, ensuring adherence to UNDP standards and guidelines.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to project activities and outcomes.
  • Engage in continuous dialogue with community members to ensure their perspectives and needs are integrated into project design.
  • Support the establishment of partnerships with other organizations and institutions to leverage resources and expertise.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree (specialization or master's) in social sciences, public policies, business administration, project management, agricultural production, or development. Additionally, candidates should have a strong understanding of the socio-economic context of Colombia, particularly in relation to peacebuilding and community development. Experience in participatory methodologies and project formulation is highly desirable. Candidates should also demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.

Educational Background:
A postgraduate degree (specialization or master's) in relevant fields such as social sciences, public policies, business administration, project management, agricultural production, or development is required. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of project formulation and implementation in a post-conflict context.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least two years of professional experience in project formulation and implementation, particularly in contexts related to peacebuilding and community development. Experience working with vulnerable populations, including victims of violence and peace signatories, is highly valued. Familiarity with UNDP's operational procedures and guidelines will be considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory for this position, as all project documentation and communication will be conducted in this language. Knowledge of English or other languages may be considered an advantage, particularly in terms of accessing international resources and networks.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this position is 150 days. This is an individual contractor position, and the work will be conducted in Ocaña, Norte de Santander, Colombia.
