Job Overview:
The Online Volunteer position at Purewish Foundation Uganda is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and youths. This role involves assisting in key fundraising support activities that are crucial for the success of educational initiatives in Northern Uganda. Volunteers will engage in donor research, partner outreach, and grant proposal writing, which are essential for mobilizing resources to cover educational costs for 100 vulnerable children. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Online Volunteers will be responsible for several key tasks that are vital to the fundraising efforts of Purewish Foundation Uganda. These include:
  • Donor Research: Identifying potential donors, businesses, and organizations that align with the foundation's mission. Volunteers will gather relevant details such as contact information, funding priorities, and past contributions to create a comprehensive database of potential funding sources.
  • Partner Outreach: Assisting in drafting professional correspondence, including introduction letters, partnership proposals, and thank-you notes aimed at potential partners and donors. This will involve crafting compelling narratives that highlight the foundation's mission and the impact of its work.
  • Grant Proposal Writing: Developing tailored grant proposals for key initiatives, ensuring that each proposal aligns with the project goals and demonstrates the potential impact of funding. Volunteers will focus on research, drafting, and preparation of materials, while all drafts will undergo internal review before final submission to ensure quality and alignment with the organization’s objectives.
  • Collaboration: Working collaboratively with other volunteers and staff members to ensure that all fundraising efforts are cohesive and effective.
  • Reporting: Providing regular updates on progress and challenges encountered during the fundraising activities to the project coordinators.
