Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is situated within the Publications, Conference, and Knowledge Management Division (PCKMD) of the Information and Communications Technology Services Section (ICTSS). The intern will work under the direct supervision of the Chief of ICTSS and the NetCom Team leader. The role is designed to provide practical experience in network and communications support, focusing on various initiatives such as configuration automation, WLAN upgrades, and network troubleshooting. The intern will engage in hands-on tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the ICTSS, gaining valuable insights into the workings of a major international organization while developing technical skills relevant to the field of information technology and communications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's responsibilities will include a range of tasks aimed at supporting the Network & Communications team. Key duties will involve:
  • Assisting in the implementation of configuration automation and management solutions, ensuring that network configurations are optimized for performance and reliability.
  • Supporting WLAN upgrade initiatives, which will include physical deployment of new access points, configuring settings, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Engaging in network troubleshooting and maintenance, diagnosing and resolving issues related to connectivity, performance, and device failures, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks such as software updates.
  • Contributing to LAN/WAN and Internet network expansion tasks, assisting in the planning and execution of network growth strategies.
  • Participating in other IT-related activities as needed, which may include documentation, inventory management, and support for various IT projects, thereby enhancing the overall success of the department.

Required Qualifications:
