Job Overview:
The Support Staff position is integral to the implementation and monitoring of various projects and activities under the IOM mission in Peru. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and directly supervised by the Program Coordinator (Response and Recovery), the incumbent will assist in executing program activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role involves supporting the logistical and administrative aspects of project execution, including basic physical and financial tracking of activities, document management, and coordination with both internal and external stakeholders. The Support Staff will also play a crucial role in data collection for monitoring and evaluation purposes, ensuring that all documentation is organized and accessible. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration with various partners, including UN agencies, government counterparts, and civil society organizations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Support Staff include but are not limited to: assisting in the implementation of program activities and projects; supporting the various phases of project execution, including basic physical and financial tracking; managing information and logistical tasks; reviewing documents and facilitating the circulation of terms of reference; processing payments and preparing preliminary versions of reports; collecting internal information and preparing reports, official documents, and meeting notes; maintaining organized documentation in cloud storage; coordinating with internal and external actors; preparing logistical and administrative arrangements for meetings, seminars, workshops, and ceremonies; collaborating in data collection for monitoring and evaluation activities; keeping project records and tracking instruments updated; providing operational support for health activities, including logistical coordination for assessments and community health initiatives; and performing other administrative and operational tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in health-related fields or a related area from an accredited academic institution, along with at least 2 years of relevant work experience. Alternatively, candidates with a secondary school diploma and a minimum of 4 years of work experience will also be considered. Experience in providing administrative or logistical support in project implementation is essential, as is experience in organizing meetings or communications with public, private, or civil society institutions. Previous work experience within the United Nations system, other international cooperation agencies, or civil society organizations will be valued.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a bachelor's degree in health-related fields or related disciplines from an accredited institution. Accredited universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. Candidates with a secondary school diploma and significant work experience may also be considered.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have experience in providing administrative or logistical support in the implementation of projects. Experience in organizing meetings or communications with various institutions, including public, private, or civil society organizations, is also necessary. Previous experience working within the United Nations system or with international cooperation agencies will be an advantage.

Languages:
Proficiency in Spanish is mandatory, both oral and written, as it is the primary language of communication. Intermediate proficiency in English, both oral and written, is also required. Language proficiency will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

Additional Notes:
This position is subject to local recruitment, and only candidates with valid residency and work permits in Peru will be considered. The appointment is contingent upon medical fitness certification and verification of residency, visa, and authorizations by the relevant government authorities.
