Job Overview: The Program Assistant position at the World Bank is integral to the Digital Transformation Global Practice, which aims to support the World Bank's goals of eradicating poverty and fostering shared prosperity through digital solutions. The role involves coordinating logistics for programs, managing administrative procedures, maintaining program documents, and supporting communications and knowledge products. The assistant will work closely with various stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and timely follow-up on program activities. Duties and Responsibilities: The Program Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including: organizing and scheduling meetings across various platforms, providing logistical support for events and workshops, arranging official travel, processing financial documents, managing consultant contracts, and maintaining program databases. The assistant will draft and track official documentation, prepare program updates and presentations, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination. Additionally, the role involves maintaining program tracking tools, following up on decisions made during meetings, and contributing to the development of standard operating procedures to enhance team collaboration and efficiency.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high school diploma with at least seven years of relevant experience, although a bachelor's degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive attitude, excellent organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure. Strong knowledge of the World Bank's administrative processes and procedures is essential, along with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in English and a strong working knowledge of Spanish are required, while knowledge of Portuguese and French is desirable. The candidate should also have excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office and other relevant software used by the World Bank.
Educational Background: A high school diploma is required, with a preference for candidates holding a bachelor's degree. The educational background should ideally include coursework or training relevant to administrative support, project management, or a related field that equips the candidate with the necessary skills for the role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of seven years of relevant experience in administrative support or a similar role.
