Job Overview:
The Consultant for Partnerships and Advocacy Management will provide targeted support to the PFP MSP team on Mental Health, focusing on advancing UNICEF's strategic objectives and the goals of the Global Coalition for Youth Mental Health. This role is crucial in ensuring that partnerships and advocacy activities align with UNICEF's advocacy and partnerships targets, maximizing influence and impact. The consultant will work closely with various UNICEF divisions to promote positive mental health, address mental health challenges, and combat stigma, which are among UNICEF's global priorities. The consultant will lead membership stewardship, contribute to membership growth, drive the Coalition's advocacy agenda, and strengthen communications to effectively share the Coalition's achievements and impact with stakeholders and the public.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for organizing quarterly Coalition meetings, leading the reporting for the annual Coalition report, finalizing and promoting the Coalition annual report, and organizing the Coalition annual meeting. They will also plan and coordinate Coalition-wide activities for Mental Health Awareness Month, support National Committees with activations, develop a second annual insights study, and engage with National Committees and Coalition members for the insights study. Additionally, the consultant will produce an advocacy strategy for the UNGA and World Mental Health Day, provide logistics and event management support for the UNGA, implement activation for World Mental Health Day, and develop an initial plan and strategy for the Coalition Annual Meeting.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of progressive experience in partnerships, communications, and/or advocacy, including experience in writing content and publishing communication or advocacy materials. Experience in mental health or public health is an asset, as is previous communications/PR experience with UN/UNICEF or similar organizations. The ability to engage diverse audiences and a background in business-related initiatives are distinct advantages.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in International Relations, Economics, Social Sciences, Business, or related fields is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or higher) combined with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of progressive experience in relevant fields such as partnerships, communications, and advocacy. Candidates should have a proven track record in writing and publishing communication materials, with specific experience in mental health or public health being advantageous. Previous experience with UN agencies or similar organizations is also beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, while knowledge of other official UN languages is considered an asset. This linguistic capability is essential for effective communication and collaboration within the international context of UNICEF's work.

Additional Notes:
The consultant will work remotely/home-based, with potential travel covered separately by UNICEF as needed. All UNICEF travel regulations apply, and the consultant must have valid travel insurance and necessary vaccinations.
