Job Overview: The Digital Data Analytics Specialist will play a crucial role in UNICEF's Digital Strategy by ensuring accurate Web Analytics implementations across regions and delivering statistical insights to enhance digital campaign performance. This position involves analyzing large datasets to identify trends that can improve the effectiveness of digital campaigns. The specialist will be responsible for building data products that provide actionable business insights and will share commercial responsibilities for the outcomes of digital campaigns. This role is part of the Data & Insights team within the global Digital Team of the Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) division at UNICEF. The specialist will support key markets with advanced analytic solutions, develop digital analytic dashboards, and collaborate with various teams to optimize digital performance and donor engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Digital Data Analytics Specialist will have a wide range of responsibilities, including:
Supporting key markets with advanced analytic solutions to address business challenges such as online conversion rates and A/B testing hypotheses.
Building digital analytic dashboards that encompass all paid marketing activities and campaign performance metrics.
Collaborating with Marketing Activation and Paid Media teams to measure and optimize digital performance across various channels.
Providing specialist digital analytics knowledge to PFP staff and supporting strategic planning for digital analytics.
Managing and implementing digital analytics and first-party data tracking methodologies.
Participating in the creation of a global digital analytics community and leveraging knowledge management for improved results.
Delivering various reports and dashboards to monitor performance and inform strategic decisions.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience as a Digital or Data Analyst, with a strong background in data mining and commercial KPIs. Knowledge of digital projects, campaigns, and Google Analytics implementations is essential. Candidates should demonstrate analytical thinking, business acumen, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities, as the role involves interaction with various stakeholders within UNICEF. Desired qualifications include familiarity with programming languages such as R, SQL, and Python, as well as experience with business intelligence tools and data frameworks.
Educational Background: An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or higher) in Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree with an additional 2 years of relevant professional work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in digital analytics, data analysis, and data mining, with a focus on commercial KPIs. Candidates should have a proven track record of working on digital projects and campaigns, as well as experience with attribution models and Google Analytics implementations. Strong analytical skills and business acumen are crucial for success in this role.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another UN language is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's profile for the role.
Additional Notes: The consultant will work remotely, with the possibility of travel covered separately by UNICEF. The contract will be governed by UNICEF's regulations, and selected candidates will not be considered staff members under UN regulations. Payment will be based on the submission of deliverables, and UNICEF reserves the right to withhold payment if performance is unsatisfactory. Candidates must ensure they have valid travel and health insurance, and must comply with UNICEF's travel policies.
